Campaign Ends: 06/10/2026 - 71 Days Left!
I will be returning to Uganda June 2026. I am called to support Raise the Roof Academy’s school kitchen that prepares meals for approximately 2,000 students daily. I am working to improve their food preparation systems with proper tables, 3-compartment sinks, and workflow.
My goal is to raise $10,000:
Travel Support - $4,500
Travel, housing and transportation to Uganda to implement this phase. On-the-ground assessment and planning for future phases. Hands-on support to ensure equipment is properly placed and utilized.
Sponsor a Table - $500 (4 Tables)
Stainless steel prep tables for safe, elevated food preparation. Reduces the need to prepare food at ground level. Improves efficiency and workflow in the kitchen. Direct investment in how food is prepared every day.
Sponsor a Sink - $700 (4 total: 2 @ Kitchen and 2 @ Student Washing Areas)
Stainless steel washing stations for proper sanitation. Safer food handling practices. Health and safety for both students and kitchen staff. Foundational for cleanliness and long-term kitchen sustainability.
Dish Drying Racks - $350 (6 total: 4 @ Kitchen and 2 @ Student Washing Areas)
These racks support safe air-drying of plates, cups, silverware, and cutting boards after washing. Because they will sit outside, we are prioritizing durable metal racks that can handle moisture better than wood and support cleaner, safer kitchen workflow.
Support Tools & Supplies - $250
Thermometers, cutting boards, knives, prep tools, and essential kitchen equipment. Small items that make a significant difference in safety and consistency
Hello! We are very excited to share with you that we have an opportunity to participate in a Raise the Roof Academy Mission Trip to Uganda. Raise the Roof Academy’s mission is to advocate for children and community development one household at a time. I encourage you to visit the website for more information: raisetheroofacademy.org.
Our family has been a part of the Raise the Roof Academy family for over 8 years...learning about their mission and vision, supporting in various ways through our church, and now sponsoring a beautiful little girl named Immaculate. We have built a relationship with this community without even meeting them, and they have greatly impacted our lives. Now, our prayer is that we are able to visit and serve the people in rural Uganda.
One of the ways you can help us is to pray for us and our team members as we prepare our projects, as well as for the work on the ground once we arrive. We will be providing VBS for over 2000 students, a health clinic open to the surrounding villages, construction projects of various sizes, leadership training, and more. While Sara is on RTRA staff and will have her own specific tasks, John David will be able to work with healthcare leaders and future health students. Emma and Amelia will be working with the school choir and band, as well as VBS teams.
There are financial needs as well. The cost of the trip is $3500 per person. Would you please consider supporting us both prayerfully and/or financially? Our goal is to raise $8,000 by May 1, 2026. Please designate our name in the memo section. If I am unable to participate in the trip, any monetary gifts raised toward supporting me will in turn be used to support the mission. Thank you so much!
